“It’s difficult to describe just how much I love this place. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The breakfast is other worldly - local cheeses, eggs, fresh fruit, … but, honestly, I keep coming back here because of the people. They put up with my terrible French - and graciously allow me to practice with them. Special shout out to Marie who is always friendly and is the genius behind the world’s best breakfast. A true gem.”

“Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The front desk staff are kind and attentive. They booked us dinner reservations nearly every night we were there, and provided great recommendations. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, our room had everything we needed, and the beds were comfy. We were two adults and two kids, and our room had a bedroom and separate living/eating area. The kids slept on the pullout couch which was large and very comfortable. All of this in the middle of L'isle Sur La Sorgue, which has a great Sunday market, and provides easy access to other towns in the Luberon region of France. I highly recommend this hotel!”

“Category: European Hotel. This charming pet-friendly hotel is only a short walk from everything of interest in this very interesting town. Set in a Medieval building with elements originating in the 13th and 15th Centuries, it styles itself as an “apartment hotel” because it has only seven apartment suites. Our suite, named “Theatre” (no. 6) was spectacular. Set on two levels, the lower-level bedroom area had a huge bed (it seemed larger than a King) placed in the center of the large, bright, high-ceilinged room with exposed log beams. Behind the bed was one of two sitting areas; the other was in a front corner below a window. In the other corner sat another small bed, presumably for a dog if we’d brought one along (of course we would consider ourselves lucky if our three Siberian Huskies would share the big bed with us). Also behind the bed was a hidden kitchenette. The vanities, tub, and shower were reached via a steel staircase climbing to the second level. A railing overlooked the bedroom below. Smartly, the designer placed the private privy room on the first level, which was better for nighttime access. A door off the second level led to a private covered terrace with a table and seating for six, and a view of the church and surrounding rooftops. Although there wasn’t much reason to leave this great room, the hotel offered other amenities, including a cozy tea room/bar/library/game room on the first floor, a breakfast room and kitchen for the included petit-dejeuner (which was incredible and not petit at all), a small indoor heated pool, a terrace and garden with several seating areas, a wine cave with a gorgeous live-edged wood table and small wine cellar, bikes available for rent, and excellent service from the friendly and ever-present but unobtrusive staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Warning: don’t stay in Room 7, which has a very bad and unnecessary bathroom design, which could be fixed without too much work. Our friends had to move to another room. YouTube’s Chef’s Apprentice”

“J’adore Le Clos Violette! We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful APT/Hotel on our e-bike trip thru Avignon/isle de Sorgue and St Remy. It was the highlight of our hotels while traveling for 7 days. The room (#2) was so spacious and comfortable. The staff is kind, helpful and very well informed about the area. The breakfast area was beautiful and my wife is still talking about the china.”

“I do not agree with some other reviews. We stayed three nights. I can strongly recommend this Hotel. The rooms are spacious, the staff is very friendly, motivated and professional. The Location is good for walking right into the city's shopping and fine dining. The Breakfast is one of the Best in Town. I will definitely come back to this lovely place”
